LastBIM 2.0 - Platform Release
We’re thrilled to announce the release of LastBIM 2.0, a major update that lays the foundation for more flexible, structured and collaborative information management in your projects. This release is the result of a full platform rewrite based on your feedback that we collected in the last year.
Here’s what’s new:
💡 New Classification System
You can now use IFC classes and predefined types or Revit categories as classification system in your information requirements.
Of course you can also still build your own classification system built on properties - or you combine IFC classes or Revit categories with classifying properties to go as much into detail as you want to.
🧩 Two-dimensional Information Level
You can now combine up to two types of information level and assign them to your properties. These could be e.g. project phases and use cases or you subdivide your project phases into data drops or sub phases. It’s up to you!
If the old LOIs were sufficient for you, you can work as usual and just use one type of information level.
🔐 Granular Access Management
With the introduction of Domains and Roles, you can now finely tune who can see and edit what within a project. Ensure that everyone can only create, edit or delete elements in the requirements according to his role (e.g. BIM manager or model author) in the project and his discipline knowledge.
🕑 Change History
You can now track all the changes that are made on the platform. The project change history shows everything that happened within the project, but you can also open the history within the catalog or even for single properties and specifications to track what happened in the associated element.
💡Dashboard
The dashboard gives you some first insights about the scope of the catalog and a preview of the latest changes. You can see how many specifications and properties the catalog includes and how the properties are distributed within the specifications, disciplines and information levels.
