Welcome to 2026! Introducing the New IFC Studio + Webinar Announcement (EN & DE)

Happy New Year! We hope you had a fantastic and restful holiday season and are ready to tackle 2026 with improved data quality in your BIM projects.

We want to kick off the year with making one very major update finally official, that we have been working on during the last few months and already teased on the last events of 2025 and in our Christmas newsletter:

Introducing the IFC Studio

The IFC studio is now officially live, and opens up a new way for checking IFC models - AND attributing them! It comes with the same interface as the plugins for attributing, checking and navigating the model, so you can apply the same workflows on IFC models now.

This can help you with:

  • Checking easily and quickly IFC models that you get from project partners

  • Make quick fixes on the attribution when you only get IFC models

  • Let project partners attribute models with their information who usually don’t have access to authoring software (e.g. fire protection)

All of that without needing to export and import anything or setup everything manually, making the attribution and model checking accessible for everybody!

We know, the attribution of IFC files brings up one big question: How can we get the data that is attributed with the IFC studio to a new version of the IFC model or back into the authoring software? We’re working on an update to address this, and we’ll share more very soon. Stay tuned! 🔜

How to access the IFC studio

You can find the IFC Studio here or via the platform:

Note: An IFC Studio license is required to use this feature. If you’re on a Pro license, you already have access! If not, reach out to us, and we’ll set up a trial license so you can test how the IFC Studio can improve your IFC workflows.
