Validation Update: New Design & Actions and Export of Results
Let’s start with no. 1 of a series of plugin updates. This update focused on improving the workflow with the validation results.
🎨 Layout Changes
We refined the layout of the validation view to use the limited space in the plugin more efficiently and so that it makes more sense.

Bar chart instead of pie chart
We replaced the pie chart which saves us a lot of vertical space so that there is more place for the actual results in the table.New Button placement
The button to change the elements for the validation is now next to the number of validated elements where it makes more sense.
Sorted results
The specifications and properties are now sorted alphanumerically so you can navigate more easily through the results.Number of elements per issue
Behind each property there is now a number that indicates how many elements of the specification are affected by this issue.
Unclassified elements are listed
Unfold the row “Unclassified elements” in the results table to see all the associated elements.
🔨 New Actions & Features
Bar actions
You can click now on the bars - the big one on the top but also the small one for each specification - to get a menu of actions for the associated elements:
Focus: Selects and zooms to the elements so you can find them more easily
Select: You can choose now between selecting the element, narrowing the selection down, and adding and removing the elements from the selection
Visibility: You can choose now between isolating, hiding & showing the elements.
Export results to Excel
To communicate the results of the validation, export a report as Excel file. All the elements will be listed with a status, percentage of valid properties and a table where the property values are listed or marked as missing or invalid.
